Took about an hour to do everything. Once it was "done", none of my music could be accessed on my ipod. I had to create a new playlist from the computer on the ipod to make the music reconizable. Took me a half hour of restarting and messing arround to fix this. In the end everything works.

ya. I live in socal too. I use the google voice app to text, and the talkatone app for calls. You need to get a mic to make calls if your ipod touch is a later generation and both apps require a google voice account (bascially a different number).

Well that just sucks. I'm not that angry with the data cap because I am arround wifi about 80% of the time. I've been using my ipod to text and make calls from my house for about a year now because I dont get service on Verizon where I live now. Thanks for the advice though!

Question: I am on a family plan with Verizon Wireless. I still have a dumb phone because I've been waiting for the iphone 5. My mom is also on my family plan and she has an unlimited data plan. Is it possible for me to take her unlimited plan when I get my iPhone 5 and she would take over a new data capped plan?

I like the sound. It just seems so nasty.
