Gotcha. Thanks! And I imagine the transverse V6 is going to go extinct at those manufacturers soon (if it isn’t already), as almost all FWD-based V6 vehicles will be downsizing to 4 and 3 cylinders. That means 6 cylinders will be reserved for larger, longitudinal vehicles that can fit an I6 no problem.

We love to see it. Is there any reason why I6 engines are making a big comeback in the day of downsizing and electrification? I’ve always driven I6 BMWs and love the refinement and feel, but it’s an unusual engine configuration.

Usually these people are comparing another luxury car to an EV. Like a new BMW i4 buyer isn’t going to be cross shopping a $4k used suburban. They’re probably upgraded their leased 4 series for a new car and are torn between an i4 and a 4 series.

Normally putting a BMW engine in a JLR product would be a reliability improvement… except the N63 V8. One of BMW’s best performing, yet least reliable, modern engines. I think the timing chain issues on early models are resolved but I don’t trust the N63… And I daily drive a 150k mile, JB4 chipped N55.

Dampers on the trunk are broken on my 5 series. If I press the trunk release button the trunk flies open with such speed and force that i think it’s going to fly over the roof of the car. I never fixed it because I just hold the trunk as I open it

Wheels that were too large. Looked great, handled great… but I live in Chicago and was CONSTANTLY replacing bent/cracked wheels and tires due to our garbage roads.

The Talbot-Matra Rancho. Performance doesn’t always mean power, acceleration and handling. In this case, the Rancho desperately needed some off-road performance to back up its macho looks. Launched in the late 70s, the Rancho was built on the Renault 1100 supermini-sedan chassis and only offered FWD and 80 horsepower.

I would say the 4.3l RWD Silverado and the first gen Escape from the early 2000s were worse with manuals. Neither one was an engaging vehicle - purely utilitarian, so they were more appropriate with autos.

Jesus, eliminate the tips and raise driver wages by 18%. Then if your order is fucked up or late or missing, the app can deduct it from the restaurant or driver, depending on who’s at fault. Currently drivers are losing cash bc of restaurants messing up orders.

Ford Windstar. Truly one of the worst products to come out of the blue oval. The only purpose the Windstar served was making the (also horrible) GM Minivans look good in comparison.
