Another positive side effect of quarantine. In the US alone:

He’s talking about the majority of cars in 2009. The three you mentioned are rare and most people would never consider one. But is a 2009 Civic less boring than a 2009 Focus or cobalt? Yeah, I think so.

I think his point was “Who is going to have enough money to build apartments?”

I don’t either, but I realize that if there were no landlords and no rentals, I would never have been able to leave my parents house in my god-forsaken-bible-thumping-meth-riddled-backwater-impoverished hometown. There’s no way I could have ever made enough money there to buy a home in any city, without having a job

The problem with Marxist property principles is resources. When property is cost-free, everyone wants to live in the same few places and there isn’t the capacity to handle that.

I don’t get this piece, despite being an ultra-progressive tenant’s rights advocate myself. If we abolished rent and required solely homeownership (whether purchased or granted to current residents), it would fuck over most poor and middle class people who don’t already live in cities.

I’ve had good luck calling the dealers that appear on the Carfax and asking about warranty work. I did this on my BMW and confirmed that a very expensive fatal flaw had NOT been fixed. So I negotiated $1500 more off the car, which is almost exactly what it cost me to replace the fatal flaw a month later.

I also did a lot of research on this generation JGC for a friend who was deadset on buying a used one (despite my recommendations). From my research, the one model you should absolutely avoid at all costs is the 2011 JGC Overland Summit 5.7l 4WD.

My mom had an identical one, but in the sexy brown on brown combo. It was a piece of shit from the start and needed repairs every couple of months for something electronic (and occasionally mechanical). There was an issue causing the Blind Spot monitor to constantly ding and they never found the source of the issue,

Lots of them. Here is one for $38k with under 20k miles

XC90 T8 Hybrid. Luxurious, practical, fast... Plug in hybrid fuel economy.

Everyone is splitting hairs in the crossover category. This is slightly larger and higher quality than the Trax. Think of the Trax and the Equinox as the discount models and the Trailblazer and Blazer as the "stylish, premium" models... It's a tough market out there.

What percentage of your net worth did you donate to coronavirus? Do you think the moral superiority of your donation will save more lives than 10M EUR will?

I really like this, but they only offer it on the base model. No sunroof or real leather seats with the manual.

As someone who spends a lot of time in Brazil, I promise you that any car produced there for that market is an utter piece of shit. Extremely high taxes and import duties means that companies need to produce in the country if they want the cars to be affordable. So companies dump old chassis and tooling there with

I agree. And it would be pretty damn hard to build a truck that feels cheaper and drives worse than the new Wrangler.

What do you need to watch out for on these? Not that I’m considering this one or anything... but I am.

Props don’t fail though. I’ve replaced enough struts on ten year old Audis and VWs to feel disenchanted by them.

I’m pro-union, but I was a consultant for a major airline, building out their flight crew bidding system (how they choose which flights each crew member gets). The process is steeped in union regulation and I can vouch that it is absolutely a union requirement for each member to be assigned a certain number of flight
