If he could do his job with a 2017 F250 that costs $40k+, he could do the job just as well with a 2004 F250 that costs a quarter of that. Reliability is hardly a factor with these trucks.

I’ve hated on Camry styling for generations. This actually looks good. The rear 3/4 proportions are very attractive on the XSE. Athletic without a needlessly compromised "coupe-like" roofline. The front is too busy but it's not heinous. I think it's much better than the current Altima.

In May 2016 I took a 10,000 mile roadtrip across the USA in a 2001 E39 M5 with 150k miles on it. Besides an oil and coolant change and throwing a spare tire and jack in the trunk, the M5 had no preparation.

For $11k, get this lightly used Saab 9-3X and embrace the aviator spirit

The 2019 S60 starts right at $35k... If you can wait a couple of weeks for them to hit the showroom. You could get it down to under $35k for a “base” model lease - which is still supremely more comfortable, well equipped and luxurious than a loaded up Hyundai.

I’ve rented two 2018 C classes (one with the dinky little screen and one with the wide-screen) and there is no logic or pattern to the navigation. Really an awful system. I rented a new Q60 3.0T AWD premium a few weeks ago. I enjoyed driving the car, although it was slower than 300 hp feels like and the steering had no feel.
