I read an article in Indy Star that I-65 from Indy to Chicago is one of the deadliest highways in the US and the worst in Indiana. INDOT doesn't know what to do about it. Speeding isn't the issue from one of their studies. It's run-offs and sudden traffic jams that are the problem.
It's an improvement in the same sense as the plain jane girl in 6th girl being "hotter" than the ugly one with buck teeth and lopsided tits. Certainly less personality and much more forgettable, but easier on the eyes.

BMW does underrate engines, but not by 100 HP. And that almost never applies to their M models. They intentionally underrate their regular models to give the Ms more prestige. Very pretty. I like how they managed to give it a sleek roofline while adding that sharp corner in the window to keep the design edgy. The rear is much improved over the sedan
I just read the 428i was clocked at 0-60 in 5.1 seconds by Edmunds. No shit this much lighter, more powerful car with the same transmission will be under 5.
I'm going to add mixing tires to this mix. I had 2 of my winter tires slashed last year and put two Bridgestone Potenzas I had laying around on the front of my BMW and the Nokian snow (read tractor) tires on the rear.

The E39 has a great interior. Super German and super easy to use. I upgraded to a newer nav system with Bluetooths and whatnot.
