Tesla doesn't need dealers. Maintain is very minimal. If the dealers can't charge you $120 for an luxury oil change, how will they survive?
Anyone know the status of this in Indiana? I noticed they were opening a store in the fashion mall in Indy. I'm hoping its a real dealership like Fiat has there and not just a gallery.

I was looking at my E39 today as it was next to an F10, and I noticed how much more of the front end is plastic. Mine had a plastic bumper with a metal hood hanging over. The F10 had an entire front clip made of plastic. All new cars are like this though. It both makes repairs cheaper and pedestrian impacts safer.
Yes, because crumple zone, safety cells, pedestrian friendly bumpers and other safety features don't add mass or size to a car.
Am I the only one who thought the 2nd and 3rd generations were the same? Just a refresh?

The BMW New Class was designed as an economy line. During the 50's BMW made primarily luxury sedans and the Isetta, and they were unprofitable. They needed an affordable, small car with an economical engine to stay solvent.
