FFS, IT’S an POP CULTURE CRITICISM WEBSITE!!!!
Rogan is a moron and completely full of shit. He operates under the guise of being some kind of libertarian but he embraces the worst of the worst that the far right has to offer, Ben Shapiro, Candace Owens, Alex fucking Jones. Anyone who attempts to defend his stupidity can get bent
This article seemed to upset some people enough so that they feel the need to announce that they won't be reading this site like anyone gives a fuck.
If this really cost $200 million then that’s probably the reason it got canceled lol. Like I don’t think even the most expensive season of Game of Thrones cost that much. I think The Crown might’ve cost this much but at least that show has excellent costumes, from what I’ve seen, Jupiter’s Legacy looks like when you…
Exactly. 200 mill and the wigs were from Party City!
“Yeah, that seems like a smart move, pivoting from a $200 million dollar live action Netflix series to an anime. This will work out great for you!”

Netflix does a lot of weird things that are pretty clear gaffes, but when they were like “LOOK MILLARWORLD! WE GOT SUPERHEROES” I just laughed. Who CARES? His in-house stuff is trash, the only good he did was other people’s properties, the Wanted books, and the Kingsman movies are fun. BIG mistake spending so much on…
I can usually handwave away old-age makeup on obviously younger actors, but that’s usually because it’s only a small part of whatever show/movie I’m watching. (E.g. a framing device where the old character reminisces about the main events of the movie.) I don’t know how much of Jupiter’s Legacy had Josh Duhamel et.…
Yes, but in a tragic twist, that kid grew up to be Shia LaBeouf
Genuinely hope this becomes some kind of passing of the whip to Phoebe Waller Bridge, though it’s an interesting question if an Allan Quatermain style serial hero (even a female one) has a place in the 60s and 70s. I suppose Johnny Quest made it work, though some aspects of that series have not aged gracefully (then…
There was a moment in the late-ish 80s where if you were a shy, small town teenage misfit boy The Smiths, and Morrissey himself, were an absolute cultural liferaft.
Can’t listen to his stuff any more, can’t get past the racism :( I think of some old friends from back in the 1980s who were real Smiths fans, they must be devastated.
I suggest a Kickstarter. By which I mean we should start kicking Morrisey and never stop.
Did he participate in a beauty pageant when he was 19 or something?
I have a friend who is acquainted with Morrisey. From his stories Morrisey is a guy who thinks he is incredibly personable, while he is an inherent asshat.
As a great admirer of the Smiths and his early solo work, I take no pleasure in saying that yes, Morrissey has demonstrated time and again that he is a racist prick and he deserves to be shunned. Unlike Ellie Kemper, you hacks.
It’s a great point. What’s weird is that a lot of comedians only feel the need to defend traditionally “offensive” jokes when someone says that the jokes haven’t aged well, but they often ignore the fact that a lot of comedy just doesn’t age well overall. For instance, a rapping grandma.
Baby Driver would have made a great short film but there just wasn’t enough content there for a full length movie. All of the action sequences were great but everything else was bland and forgettable. Also it was weird that this 20 year old kid was so obsessed with Classic Rock.
