I get how a city can be a character. The New Mexico setting for Breaking Bad led to some seriously stunning cinematography and definitely lent additional weight to the characters.

That trailer gave me both nothing and everything at the same time.

It looks even better than I hoped it would....

Rose would say “well that was just lovely”. She wouldn’t mean it, but she’d say it.

Hard candy here. God bless her, my grandma had them in a candy dish but still in the individual wrappers so they didn’t melt together in a block. Also, she made awesome pb&js.

As Dorothy is my spirit animal and I looooove ambient music, I am so happy you said Dorothy would be into this.

Can’t speak for millenials, but I watched it with my mema growing up every Saturday night.

Not sure about Rose though.

my boss and i are in a long standing fight because she didnt automatically know which golden girl i am (dorothy) so how can she even claim to know me at all????

1. The dialog is fast-paced and quick-witted. What we liked about it as kids is enhanced because we now pick up on the more subtle digs and innuendo.

I’m 35 here, and there is something comforting about watching the show and I feel the same way about Desiging Women. But that’s just a small part of it... I also find GG to be incredibly witty and ballsy and forward thinking, even for today. Can you imagine a show made up of an all female, all senior citizen cast

YAS I fucking love this. St. Vincent chose to suck all the life and joy out of this song (for whatever reason) but this guy turned it into actual fire.

It’s on every time I turn on my tv so that’s probably why. And it does appeal to the young: in the gay community, when we run our yearly recruiment drives in high schools across the country, The Golden Girls is one of our most popular way of turning those kids.

Nostalgia for watching it with my departed grandma combined with enjoying four good performances.

36 here and yes my girlfriends and I love this show and regularly discuss our future living arrangements. It is literally #squadgoals

I'm 42. This show speaks to me.

I have no idea, but I will say that, as a 28 year old man-boy who’s been forcibly subjected to it by my SO, it’s starting grow on me. The jokes are bad and the 80s sitcom acting is worse, but there’s just something about it that I find... comforting.

Now playing

I thought we all agreed that there was only one remake we needed.

This is the song that will play as I pass the treshold of the pearly gates and run into the open arms of Bea Arthur, Rue McClanahan and Estelle Getty. Betty White will live forever as a result of cryopreservation and then become a deity, at least in my version of heaven.

Harry Weston grows beautiful plumage and takes flight from his nest, leaving it empty, and disappears into the technicolor sunset.
