The routing I found was all the way to Kristiansand. SAS has daily flights from Oslo - the 3rd and final layover was in Oslo. But, I would still pick a 2-layover trip over a 3-layover trip, lower likelihood of something going wrong. Delta just has better service for your needs out of San Antonio - not every airline

I don’t know when or where you’re trying to go in Norway, but I just had a great and cheap experience with Norwegian into and out of Scandinavia for ~$600. Direct, nonstop both ways. Might be worth checking out.
