If you really wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt, it’s possible they looked at the potential jury pool for this community and figured there are plenty of people who would look at these videos and see their mothers and aunts rather than a “depraved mind.”

I understand why the prosecutor thinks they couldn’t get her on murder, and since Florida’s manslaughter statutes allow for a LOT of jail time, I’m not sure their decision wasn’t the right one.
