China is begging its citizens to get educated and help with their science & tech advances. And we make it look at unappealing as humanly possible to go to college.

cough cough

We are living in a very cruel period of American history.

Not a popular opinion, while Voyager was not a great show, Janeway is my favorite Captain of the whole franchise.  She just has that perfect blend of command and humanity that makes her seem slightly more real then any of the rest of them, while still being an incredibly impressive role model.

We fucking know!

Yup. This is all shit they could have been saying at the time but didn’t because they were hoping to ride it out for their own gain.

The least surprising revelation of all time, and all these people still chose to work with him.

Florida depends highly on tourism, right?  Here’s a thought.  All the California entertainment corporations that have set up there need to respond in a unified voice:  We will sink your tourism sector.  That is all.

She’s not the political asset SHE thinks she is either. She’s the one who pushed him into politics and now wants to take this national. Did she not notice he had the personality of a piece of cardboard. At least Hillary knew she had a charismatic husband that could she could take all the way. Same with Nancy.

Meatball Ron is the Jeb! of the 2024 primaries. People thought he’d be a major contender or even frontrunner, but he’s been actively crashing and burning since before he even announced. I think the main reasons are that no one can out Trump the Orange One, his particular brand of Florida politics does not play

Right?!?? I totally forgot we’re looking at a new content drought starting in a few months. God what a stupid thing to do.

I just want to add, when their house of cards inevitably crumbles and they blame all their own misteps on the creators, writers and audience: the quality of the shows has improved with time, they’ve offered fans both what they asked for and new unexpected things, they’ve clearly invested a lot in to these shows.

And lets do that when we’re coming up on a time where we’ll be lacking in scripted programing.  Makes no sense.

And let’s not forget that the Arrowverse Flash just wrapped up a nine-season run, and I would wager that more people see Grant Gustin as “their” Flash vs Miller.

If the cancelling & eradication of Prodigy from the streaming service is for a tax break they must be so hard up for cash that they probably need new management. I found Prodigy to be a surprise, with an interesting premise to the underlying story which was engaging from the start. It wasn’t your garden variety kids

“Fewer.”

The Colorless Broadcasting System can’t have shows with that diverse of a cast without their “audience” throwing a fit.

Yeah, this one smarts. I am just rewatching all of star trek (all of it, including the awful stuff) with my SOs who have never seen any trek, ever. We’re doing it in order of airing, and rotating the ones that aired simultaneously (including movies).

Sure our biggest and arguably only major in house franchise is Star Trek, and yes we have a very popular kids show that is doing great work creating a whole new generation of fans we can hook for life but, and hear me out here, what if we not only destroy the already renewed show, refuse to show the second season,

It really does seem like a fundamental failure of basic business strategy. Businesses everywhere know that sometimes you do things that don’t make money or even cost money in order to bring more value to your brand as a whole. Costco sells their hot dog combo and rotisserie chickens at a loss because they know it
