You mention it being more generic Japanese anime game yet mention a scowl that involves the character doing a mouth pose that is completely anime like while the new look is more actually humanly possible.

For those of us who grew up with the DKC series, K. Rool is absolutely classic. To this day fans are still salty about how he and his Kremling army are absent from the Returns series. Which I always thought was because of an IP thing with Rare but maybe not?

I’ve never been a fan of his and his brand of acerbic criticism, which felt like another of the “angry gamer” demo, but at least he is a smart and intelligent man.
