Love that header image art; Chris looks significantly freaked out and pissed off, as anyone would be in an ‘abandoned” mansion full of zombies and monsters!

My favorite part of (driving around) Area 51 was probably this place, a gas station/gift shop/brothel. Other than a lot of bland hills, there wasn’t much to see. Beatty, Nevada was a neat little place, though!

On this kind of topic, does anyone know what this thing is exactly? I was stuck behind it in the hills between Nevada (near “Area 51") and Bishop, California.

What I do is heat 1 to 2 tablespoons of oil in the pot on high and fry the 1 cup of rice for a couple minutes and then add the 2 cup combo of water and salsa (I use half a can of salsa so it’s about 9 ounces of water and 7 of salsa), reduce the heat to low, wait for it to stop bubbling, cover the pot and cook for 22…

Spanish rice is really easy to make, actually! I wish I had learned it years ago and not just recently.

Most every dinner of mine consists of rice, a little cooking oil, half a can of salsa (I never buy the jarred kind) to cook the rice in, and a jar of seasoned black beans (and maybe half a can of corn here and there).
