Sam did the Fire review on Giz and it was one of the most positive reviews I've read, so I think this post was just sarcasm.

The only real benefit to Skydrive over DB, that I've found, is the 25GB of space. If there are other benefits to Skydrive, I'd like to hear them. I'm in the fairly small WP7/OS X user demographic.

Exactly what I thought too.

Wow, you're an ass. Doing it via layaway is displaying self control instead of throwing it on a credit card to worry about later and running up tons of debt as most Americans tend to do.

The one thing that gets glossed over the most when comparing the three is battery life. My battery lasts much longer on my WP7 that it did on my iPhone or Android devices. It's the reason I had to ditch my Evo early. There were lots of things that I liked about Android but the constant battery issues were

"UNLESS you put a bigger SD card in." Fixed it for you.

What I really want is a Marvel unlimited subscription, but their flash reader is so crappy that it's just not worth it. If I could get an all you can eat subscription for $10 on an iPad, Fire or Nook, I would be all over it. I just won't pay $3-4 an issue in any format. Even $10 for small collections is too

FYI HTC, the iPhone doesn't sell like hotcakes because of iTunes. It's popular in spite of iTunes.

I think the real question should be, "Why the fuck are they charging people off contract the same as they charge people who are subsidizing a phone?"

The reason the original Transformer has sold so well was the pricing. I doubt the Prime will sell nearly as well if they don't get it under $500.

To be fair to get the same type of services on a Nook (Netflix or Hulu) you'd pay more than $70 a year.

I'd disagree, Remedial Chaos Theory was greatness. One of my favorite episodes.

I don't think that's what B&N want. People loading CMod on their Nooks aren't the ones spending money with B&N, and they aren't just selling the hardware. They're trying to move books, movies & apps and this is just their portal to get that media in people's hands.

I love WP7 (I have a Samsung Focus), but when they can't sell it on a phone, what makes you think it'll work on a tab? I think that a full featured operating system will work especially when it's in unique form factors like the Duo.

Thanks for the SSH client, I'd completely missed that. One my my big missing apps up to this point.

I just played with Windows 8 on a Dell Inspiron Duo & an Acer tablet. It was impressively quick and responsive on the Duo considering it's got an Atom proc & 2GB RAM. There was an SSD in it, but compared to Windows 7, it was a completely different and pleasing experience. I'm a Mac guy, but Windows 8 actually has

I think most people would consider the original Verizon Droid the first true android phones. It is the phone that put Android on the map.

Then quit clicking on articles and go to another site. If you don't like Fox News, why would you sit around and watch it?

But there is a difference with WP7, Microsoft is actually forcing manufacturers to push updates. There were some growing pains, but as of right now Mango is available if you want it. It's only been out for about a month and I've had it for a couple of weeks.

Exactly, can we get this guy a star? This is also why Android battery life generally sucks. Limited multitasking on small mobile devices is, IMO, the right way to do it.
