I bet if I couldn't go to work because I had a serious disease they'd tell me to kiss off and have a nice day. Call us when you can actually get to the office and maybe we can talk. Until then hope you got AFLAC MFer!

I used to have a LOT more until I started to go the same route as you. I now do my web/Linux stuff on a VPS server and only have a couple computers at home. I don't miss the noise or an office that always seemed to be about 10 degrees hotter than the rest of the house.

"Sites like TorrentFreak are calling foul" - hypocrisy is a two way street. You couldn't find a more legit site to quote than "torrentfreak.com"? I have no love for the RIAA, but I love how the thieves start crying when this shit happens.

We're here to help.

I'd be willing to bet they're employing de-duplication in some form. All high end storage & backup solutions have dedup features and I'm sure Amazon's cloud has some customized highly efficient dedup in place.

The iPhone 4 is an excellent phone, period. The death grip was over hyped nonsense. I don't know any of my friends or folks in my office that have a smart phone with out a case. I also know lots of people with iPhone4s that haven't complained once about any kind of reception issues (including my wife). I think

If I could subscribe to something like the Marvel digital comics on iPad I would be all over it. I really liked the idea of an online "all you can eat" comics subscription, but Marvel really f'ed the execution with the Flash app (on Mac at least), because it was buggy as hell and crashed quite often. Especially if

I was in a sand storm like this when I was in Al-Kharj and it was crazy. What I didn't realize before I got over there is that the sand in the middle of the Saudi Arabian desert isn't like sand at the beach. It's very fine, almost like baby powder or something, and it gets EVERYWHERE.

Your single example doesn't prove anything. I've had several Latitudes (work laptops) and you can keep it, I'm glad you're happy with it.

Agreed, I think that you can argue that their computers are overpriced, but they are definitely best in class. In my opinion OS X is second to none when it comes to desktop operating systems. Unix core for the power user, with a slick GUI interface that anyone can use.

Cool tip, but it actually activates a system wide SOCKS proxy. Basically it's just a front end to "System Prefs — network — advanced — proxies". In Firefox when I enable my SOCKS proxy it only takes effect for Firefox, but no other apps.

Ok, someone enlighten me. Why is Twitter OK, but Facebook is the devil? At least I find FB somewhat useful. Twitter has got to be the stupidest thing I've ever seen.

Does Firefox 4 still allow custom proxies on Mac? I wish Chrome would allow me to setup a proxy without using the system wide settings.

Drives me nuts...I want to surf porn and work at the same time too.

Maybe because the regular Android Market kind of...what's the word...sucks? I was using app brain to find things and liked it much better. The search of all things never worked very well for me in the stock marketplace - wtf Google?

Oops missed what the client was - reading comprehension fail.

+1 - if you need GUI use winscp as your client.

"When I grow up, I am wanting to be cosmonaut!" Don't be so sure little Ivan.

if you don't like the metro UI, why would you buy a WP7 device? You had to know what it looked like before you bought the device, right?

That's hilarious...I was at work, so I didn't even watch the video, just pasted the link after a quick google - oops.
