I typically refuse to support Tesla Stans, but in this case... with how culturally divisive Tesla in general, and the Cybertruck specifically, is, and the fact that owner forum membership doesn’t exactly require a full background check or actually verify people that join own a Tesla, precisely how confident are you

No to everything about that vehicle. Absolutely nothing I want, inside or out.

I just want one without iActivSense

EDIT: posted at the wrong level but it wont let me delete my misplaced comment.

Manual Transmission. Makes any vehicle more fun to drive, no matter how shitty. Even my 2020 Tacoma I had was made enjoyable because it had a choose your own adventure transmission, though I did have to replace that garbage shift knob with one out of a Mazda3.

Good man, your dad.

I never said anything about it being cheaper or more expensive than gas. I said it was more expensive than a more efficient system. My comparison to gas was to frame the diminishing returns of increasing the battery size into terms somebody used to driving an ICE truck would likely understand. A vehicle with a big

Yeah, but that’s like comparing two swamp donkeys after last call. They are still both ugly as hell. You’re probably better off just going home alone instead of taking one of these with you too.

If it is inefficient, it costs more money to go the same distance. Just like a regular truck, if you get shit fuel economy it will cost you more money to go the same distance. It’s all about diminishing returns. Doubling your battery size doesn’t net you double the range because you’re increasing your weight, which

Damn that’s an ugly truck.

Seems like a great way to fuck up your paint and get only some of the driveway. I’d rather buy a snow blower. Twice as expensive but does the job 3 times better.

What? Am I the only person that jumps at the chance to go drive in that weather? If you avoid something that scares you, you’ll never be ready for it when you can’t avoid it. Learn to drive on snow, slush, and ice instead of hiding in your house and then acting like you got hit with a banana peel on Mario Kart every

Idiots. They don’t get a chance to drive in those conditions often, so they should’ve all headed out to practice driving on those roads instead of hiding in their little safe places. You never learn if you don’t practice.

That far south? The Sun/Time.

Of course, but politicians have a long history of attempting, often successfully, to cut off our nose to spite our face. The Marshall Plan succeeded in spite of our own attempts to cripple it.

Lol, no they didn’t. Sold that truck after 9 months when I moved to Hawai’i and replaced it with a 2016 Honda CB500X.

In my Tacoma all I had to do was pull the fuse for the Data Collector Module, fortunately. It didn’t have anything other than that. That also killed my bluetooth microphone, which justified my decision immediately. Toyota doesn’t need access to my mic. Fuck ‘em.

I don’t understand why the majority of consumers still think always-on connectivity is a great feature to have in cars. I won’t buy a new vehicle unless I’ve already figured out how to physically disable that connection the day I buy it. I have a cyber-security background, and I know most, if not all, manufacturers do

Yep. People seem to like most of the late model pickups, especially what is currently being referred to as “full size”, but personally I haven’t seen a truly good looking truck since the late 90's. The closest thing I found was a 3rd-Gen Tacoma (and bought one with the 6MT), but the 4th-Gen was a downgrade,

Unfortunately, the blacked out unibrow is probably the aesthetic choice I hate most about the Ioniq5. Maybe I just hate everything. Accidentally turned 60 when I turned 40 or something.
