Where in the PlayStation games she was a confident, dynamic character, HBO makes Tess an example

I think we’re overthinking this a bit.

What the hell are you buying? I buy admittedly way too much shit off of Amazon, and everything arrives in 2 days or less.

A wholesome story. Slow cook, amateur game, supported over years of development by a loyal, cult following, who a.) rallied to support the developers in a time of crisis and b.) now want to buy the long-building, overhauled, full version for - let’s be honest - a modest price? Don’t tell me gamers are toxic. Trolls

Transmogrifier!

Disney+ actually has an “essential episodes” list for the show, but having just had a quick look it seems to be absolutely bare bones, and leaves out a lot of pretty good stuff. I found this list on Kotaku that seems to be more comprehensive -

Completely agree with you. The time commitment/grind of the whole thing and on top of that you typically have to manage inventory. Don’t have any room? Gather ingredients to craft a larger backpack or satchel or whatever the fuck. Or backtrack for 30min to offload some items into storage. Ugh.

I”m with you. I deal with enough frustration for 10-12 hours at work every day. Video games are my method to relax. If the game gets too frustrating, it’s not serving its purpose to me anymore.

And that’s nothing against the “Get gooder” crowd.  Some people play games for a challenge, and I appreciate that and am glad

Who cares how someone else enjoys a single player game?

I’ve been playing some games on Easy difficulty lately, otherwise I would never play them because there’s enough games I don’t have the time for something that takes a lot to get through.

Any game that offers an “Im a grown ass adult with two kids and I don’t have 10 hours a day to play games just let me see the cool shit” Mode gets a fat fucking gold star from me.

Very sorry you went through this! I had my son when I was 47 (wife was 40, and the little lug was 11 pounds at birth; still don’t know how she did it). He’s now 15. I’m more interested in the world of folks his age than I ever would have been otherwise.

Mom for the first time at 38 here, and this is true. However (my husband and I talk about this a lot) even though we no longer have the physical energy/resilience to do the job as well, there’s a massive payoff in patience and maturity, which are at least equally important in having a kid. 20 year-old me was an

I do think there’s a key difference here between “kids wandering into the store on their own” and “parents dropping off kids and expecting the clerks to be responsible for them.”

This is definitely a problem in retail, but I think bookstores and video game stores (also toy stores, but they’re increasingly rare) come in for the worst of it. This has been going on at GameStop for well over twenty years; it was a problem when I worked there under EB Games! Reading over some of the suggestions, I

One of the heroes is a cheerful conman sake merchant and one of the game’s most poignant scenes is Jin drinking and telling funny stories with his best pal the night before a major battle. What the fuck is ANY of this take?!

Man, I wish that real-life loan agents would give me a zero-interest loan with no due date or penalties for nonpayment. That’d be wonderful.

Maybe you’ve rolled your eyes at the modern interpretation of Tom Nook, Animal Crossing’s capitalist overlord. You know, the one where people try to say that it’s totally OK that he’s saddling you with crushing debt and perpetual house upgrades you don’t want, all while hand-waving away the fact that he wields a

I was getting ‘Raiders of the Lost Ark’ vibes, a load of post war ghosties come wraithing out and go all face-melty on the collector. They would have looked like 'boos'. 👻

I’m too afraid to start a game that I know is just going to get cancelled after two levels.
