Damn, I liked her. She was dogged and would have made one hell of a great leader.

2 women on each others shoulders wearing a trench coat and a fake mustache for prez 2024
I completely understand why she has dropped and I still broken. FUCK this country. This is the smartest, most competent, most capable and genuine candidate in the whole field but the ignorant voters want to keep the status quo and go with another goddamned old white guy. FUCK this country.
#2 Why would you cap off almost a decade of bad decisions by moving to fucking Reno?
Letter # 2 from A Fixer-Upper
“tried to get a Twitch presence going.” is all we needed to know.
was effectively unemployed for nearly two years while he tried to get a Twitch presence going
Fixer-Upper: I have been you. I moved my boyfriend halfway across the country because he didn’t really have options where we had been living. He went from lost job to lost job and spent a lot of time unemployed. And I stuck with him for a couple years to try to support him, because, hell, he wouldn’t have been out…
I was with someone who wouldn’t work and was a financial sponge on me for YEARS. It’s so hard to shake that notion that so long as you are in love, everything will work out, since all our movies, tv shows, songs, etc pound that message in. Love ISN’T all you need, and money isn’t a shallow thing to care about. It’s…
Yep. And sometimes the dumpee will be the better for it as well. I invested much less time and effort into a guy who had similar issues. I tried for about six months to make it work with my louse of a bf before I pulled the plug. He did a lot of overwrought weeping and begging and vowing to change, but it was clear…
I love how, in keeping with the grand Dr. Nerdlove letter-writer tradition, the paragraph of dealbreakers is followed by the totally predictable:
“I won’t pay, I won’t pay ya, no way
Na-na, why don’t you get a job?”
Say, “No way,” say, “No way-ya, no way
Na-na, why don’t you get a job?”
Reading the second letter, first couple paragraphs: “Yeah, they should probably break up.”
To the person with the boyfriend that is despressed/won’t work.
LW #2,
Speaking as a dude who struggles to find energy and motivation to get his life together (although not quite to the extent of not having my own bank account and running up thousands in debt), that relationship does sound like a lost cause and you need to stop carrying his weight if you want to be happy.
Thats generous. Ditch him as fast as possible. He is a loser and will continue to be and just drag you down. Being alone is better than being hooked to an anchor.
Dear fixer upper.
Woman needs to drop his ass like a rock. Speaking from experience - sometimes you just have to let them go.
