Part of my job is explaining why we have both session laws and a statutory code and why the two look so different even though they’re the same damn laws. I would support this law both for ideology but also because it would make my life easier.

I love it. I’ve always supported drafting women and I’ve always hated douchebag legislators who take up time and resources with legislation they proposed just to make a point. I’m having my cake and eating it, too.
My friend posted a meme on Facebook yesterday where Oprah asked Michelle Obama how men can help women and Obama responded “Be better. Be better at everything.”
My first instinct was to comment that as far I’m concerned, this was a miscarriage and not an abortion. But then I decided that insisting it’s not abortion further stigmatizes late term abortion. It’s rare for late term abortions to be performed for reasons other than health risks/nonviability and to refuse to use…
I’m a dark hair fetishist who’s also scared of da khemicals. I’ve done a fair amount of reading and experimenting and it boils down to how much are you willing to risk cancer to get the hair color you want.
Haha, I just dyed mine chestnut. Grass is always greener... . :)
I worked as an HOA office assistant in college. I was the one sending notices saying your house was painted the wrong shade of beige and by what date you needed to repaint it with the proper shade of beige. I made a mental note to never buy a house somewhere with an HOA.
But when liberals get butthurt it’s “EVERYONE NEEDS TO STOP BEING OFFENDED BY EVERYTHING!!!”
And they’re still butthurt, judging by the comments on Rolling Stone Country’s coverage of this concert.
I almost choked on my gum at “homeowners’ association meeting but worse.”
In my skimming, I probably thought they meant the pants. ;)
I don’t give a rat’s ass about fashun and clicked because the name Giovanna Battaglia is amazing. As a white bread WASP with a consonant heavy, one syllable surname, I dreamed as a little girl of having an ethnic name and was especially drawn to Italian names. (When you’re as WASPy as my people are, Italian seems…
Staying gorgeous enough for the pictures when I really want to get drunk enough to put a disco ball on my head does sound lame.
Did it say where that was at any point? I got sick of skimming text when all I cared about was finding a place name.
Well, his first marriage was an interesting one!
I was definitely reading about Louis XIV’s queen recently, but I do A LOT of clicking when I get going on Wikipedia. Who knows who else I read about that day.
Family legend has it we’re descended from an illegitimate grandson of Queen Victoria. I always thought it was just a fun story until I looked around at a family dinner and realized we’re all blind landsharks. That does rather seem like royal (i.e., inbred) genetics.
I don’t remember which French monarch I was reading about but s/he and presumably others didn’t have their remains treated respectfully during the French Revolution (i.e., they were dug up and dumped in a mass grave). Europe has a long history, a lot of royalty, and a lot of war. Shit happens.
I had to read this comment thread before I had any idea what was going on.
Happy people are boring.
