most useful 'hack' Ive seen on this site in a long time. kudos to you.

And how does this help? Someone stupid enough to do that will probably do the same with their twitter/gmail/facespace account.

I agree. I wont be giving lifehacker any of my account information. If that means I cant comment I probably wont bother coming here any more. I'll just have to setup a broader search with more filters for my daily reading wants.

Im in the same boat, Droid X Contract ends in a couple days and I was under the impression that there was nothing I could do to keep my unlimited data if I re-uped. I was actually thinking of going out and buying a padfone at full price and calling it a day. In my experience when I dont have a contract the phone

mostly I use

AdFree works by redirecting requests to known advertisers (doubleclick etc) to 127.0.0.1 via the hosts file [en.wikipedia.org](file) just like you can do in OSx, Linux and Windows [lifehacker.com]

DPO syndrome eh? The real cure for that is a liberal dose of caveat emptor.

I wonder if something like AdFree [play.google.com] would help this by blocking traffic before it ever turns on the radio, or if the radio gets turned on anyway...

This might be better than a nail

Im amazed there are people out there who dont know this sort of thing, but there are. Wikipedia says the church key has been around for over 100 years [en.wikipedia.org]

even safer is to use the same can opener on the bottom edge, or as BoomhauerTX suggests, a church key [en.wikipedia.org]

these things kick so much butt though:

Vote:Sansa Clip+

searched for "brushed dc motor 90v"

I think you should always give the tip directly to the person you are tipping, never to a third party.

I agree with the rest of the commenters, this is highly suspicious. I would be more interested in articles describing when/why to set up a fictitious business name, or when to incorporate, how to handle taxes etc.

I have a ton of stuff thats mini usb (also a fan of the sansa clip+) I got one of these [www.amazon.com] adaptors and have it connected to my mini cable at all times... extremely useful.
