I won't defend FNC's awful coverage of perceived video game scandals, but why is Kotaku so hostile toward republicans? Every. Single. Time. I come here for games coverage, not to hear your politics.

I'll take less input delay over fancier graphics any day of the week. With the right artists, you can do amazing things with very limited assets.

I'm happy to see this getting some media attention. To all my friends and colleagues working on this right now, keep up the good work! You have something really good here.

Whatever, game reviewers. I'm both old AND young enough to have experienced both Sonics during formative years, and this new game plays like a dream. It's polished to the nth degree and has plenty of non-accidental difficulty. My only complaint is that it runs below 60fps, and I for one can really tell.

It really is more about the person than the device. I myself am much more accurate on a couple of joysticks than a mouse. I grew up on the consoles, you grew up on the PC. Make sure your entertainment center is good for gaming, because most of them aren't. Response time measurements are not the same as input delay

Mirror's Edge + Tony Hawk. I want this.

Oh NO. Does this cover up the L and R shoulders? I thought that white space at the bottom were relocated buttons. :( :( :( :( :( ...... :(

Am I the only one excited over this? I don't even WANT Mario Kart. I've just been waiting forever for something to attach to the back so I can hold the system comfortably at all! If this comes stateside, I might finally buy a 3DS and get my fix of Starfox and Ocarina of Time.

Just saw the "screwdriver" image. Is this a major scene in the game? I would not expect them to dial back the actual texture resolution so far unless this set piece is somewhere off the beaten path.

This is only a guess, but seeing as how multiplayer maps exist in a contained space, you do not need to swap texture data in an out as a player progresses through it. HD pack most likely only affects the single player campaign for this reason.

Most of the difference is the lack of secondary maps. With exception to the player's handheld weapon, it appears the "SD" version foregoes normals and specularity maps entirely. The "HD" pack doesn't appear to increase the texture resolution itself (simply not enough RAM on this generation of consoles). If things

(sorry lag)

I can't hold the thing. My giant American hands are to blame. I've been holding out for a redesign this whole time. I don't necessarily want it to be bigger, I want to be able to hold it steady. Operating the shoulder buttons, face buttons and circle pad simultaneously is an act of acrobatics that usually ends with me

(sorry lag again) Can't delete posts?

You're looking a little too hard into this, I think. Given human body proportions I might've agreed with you. Classic sonic's torso is some kind of tiny sphere, though. The creepiness might come from this being a 3D model attempting to duplicate the original sprite animation, something that is very often a problem

Could just be the artist training, but I don't see this as a very big deal. It's a vulva, poorly rendered. They're not even doing anything naughty with it. Modellers will often build characters like this from the nude on outward to clothing as a way to keep the process of making many variations of a character less
