You’re totally right. Bruce Schneier has a great article on why it’s all “security theater.”

Best news of the decade!

I like this idea. I’m guessing they could be frozen on sheet pans and stored on Ziploc bags for long term storage and quick prep directly from the freezer.

I'm a big believer that if it's going to come off as harsh, rude, or curt in email, it's time to pick up the phone or have the conversation face to face. Wayyy too many "conversations" happen over email or text that should be happening over a different medium.

Not really clear what you mean. How is this a Chrome problem?

Time for a pihole:

Its and total dimensions are 14.09" x 9.68" x 0.64" versus the 15-inch MacBook pro’s 13.75" x 9.48" x 0.61.” In other words, your 16-inch MacBook Pro is about one inch wider.

I’m gonna need a soap box because this is one thing I really dislike: there are too many peer to peer payment apps out there. I can’t wait for the industry to start consolidating because it’s ridiculous. PayPal, venmo, Google, Facebook, banks, Zelle, etc. etc.

I think what you meant to write was, “If you sign up for a store credit card, be sure not to carry a balance because that monthly payment will almost always outweigh the momentary savings."

Does that actually get you the level of evaporation you need?  I know the shower works because the hot steamy water has a lot of surface area and enough heat to become steam.  It seems like the tub might not have enough of either.

Probably makes for a decent A/C boost, but I imagine hot water would evaporate better than cold water.

LOL.  And a gargantuan waste of water...haha.

Reminds me of the stories about the two hikers and the bear as well as the one about the bike lock.  I don’t need to run faster than the bear.  I just need to run faster than you.  And I don’t need to have the best bike lock in the world as long as it’s better than the guy’s next to me.  In this case, I don’t have to

Perfect timing! I'm spending a week in a hotel soon, and dry air is always a problem for me. The other thing I tried is cranking the shower and letting the steam drift into my room. But that only lasted for a little while, it was bone dry in the room by morning.

Or save the water and put them in the microwave for a minute or two.

Same here, except it was last month for me.

Obviously there are plants and fungi out there that can kill you. But I’m convinced that foraging has at least some component of “secret knowledge” or “secret society” that spreads fear so that common people don’t go around eating and finding all the good stuff. Why allow someone to forage for their own chanterelles

This was very helpful! Thank you.

Works for me. My thermostat is set to 78 when I’m home and 88 when I’m away (Nest’s Eco Mode).

Do we know what devices they are going to support?
