I think we’ll all be better off if we assume that we won’t receive anything from Social Security when we retire.

I think this post would be a lot more useful/helpful if you called out specific items that you’d recommend and/or are particularly good deals. As it is, they are showing 9977 items on clearance, not all of which are 50% off.

Does this affect other Netflix platforms like on Apple TV? Or is it web only?

Just a friendly reminder to not use any of these as infant formula. None of them have the calories and nutrition a growing baby needs.

Unfortunately, charging, listening to music, and using GPS is something I do on a regular basis 😣

How are you defining the “norm”? I’ve worked at a number of different companies, and I’ve never been treated this way. Fwiw, I’m in California.

If we’re simply asking about norms, then yes, I agree with you that $400k today is a ridiculous amount of money. It puts you just outside the top 1% of income earners, which as of 2015 was $465,626.

Nah, put everything you’ve got into Bitcoin. That’s definitely a sure thing. /s

With all due respect, you need to find a new job. That sounds awful.

And inflation.

Your first step reminded me of one of the pitfalls of making such a list: it’s not possible to anonymously create/share a Google doc.

I think it’s safe to say that the futuristic video phones of yesteryear have finally arrived. Yes, we’ve had Skype for over a decade, but now it’s finally at the place where it’s a standalone device for the masses that even grandma can use.

It definitely feels like with the advent of home theater systems, 85" UHD TVs, 7.2 surround sound, and $5-$10 movie rentals on iTunes, Google, or Amazon, that the value proposition of the theater is drastically lower than it used to be.

I’ve heard (but never experimented to find out) that quick release will make meats tough. Is there anything to that?

Is this still a problem if you wear glasses and/or sunglasses on a regular basis? Seems to me that most lenses purport to block the cancer-causing rays.

No. I will not stop teaching my kids how to read.
