I rarely go to the butcher, so I’d have been aghast as well. Thanks for the tip.

Unfortunately, that activation mechanism is a deal breaker for me. I constantly use Google Now (guess I’m in the minority?) by long pressing the home button.
Or back up to something like crashplan.

I would call this a quaint rule of thumb, but definitely wouldn’t bet my life on this as a hard-and-fast rule
Honestly, if you really love it and can afford it, it pays to have a spare. I learned this th hard way with my ancient MX 1000. I loved that mouse. I replaced the “non-user-replaceable” battery several times to keep it going. But years later, when the mouse buttons finally died, I went to replace it, and it had been…

So you’re not entirely wrong. And frankly, I’ve used my 7D to digitize hundreds of photos before because it’s way faster to snap the shutter that it is to wait for the scanner to warm up, run the full length of the page and make the whole journey back.
I am deeply skeptical of apps that claim to “scan” without a scanner. Taking a picture of a document is not scanning it. It’s making a *digital* copy, but let’s not call it “scanning”.
Good luck! As a parent of two (not twins) I know the pain.

Interesting...with my monthly subscription of $9.99, I don’t have to pay sales tax here in CA. But it looks like if I get the $88.99 card shipped to me, I have to pay sales tax on it ($7.12). So I still come out ahead by $23.77, but it’s not entirely $30 off due to tax.

I’ve been a paid customer for a number of years. Love the ability to skip, see no ads, and now have offline access to my music, though that last feature seems buggy.
I was like,”Wait. . . What? This must be a new feature .” Glad I’m not losing it.
They’re illegal in California, too. Our wonderful legislature passed a law repealing that fact, but made it effective January 1, 2017, which is . . . uh. . . after the election .
Totally disagree. I found the content very helpful and insightful. It’s a product we used at my old company, and it’s cool to hear how Trello is dogfooding .
This makes sense , but it’s not how we do it in our household. You cook; I clean. I cook; you clean.
And yet the article doesn’t address that either . . .
I’m sorry, but the methodology for this study sucks. Anyone trying to calculate value with half a brain knows that it would be dollars per unit of weight, that is, $/lb.
I think this is implicit in the instructions, but in order to be thorough, I need to have all devices that are connected to the network turned on, right? I ask because I have devices like printers, laptops, and even VMs that aren’t always on.
Sharklasers?
This is a great tip! A true lifehack !
