One other weird thing about this weeks episode: Thought it was very tone deaf to feature a scene where Ruby is jazzed about being near an active shooter considering all the school shootings we have.

The macguffin of the Supergirl movie was the Omegahedron, which the show has already introduced as a Kryptonian power source, and technically, Faye Dunaway wasn’t searching for it, she’s the one who found it and used its powers for her magic tricks. Supergirl was the one looking for it. Nice callback, though.
The DC shows (save for “Legends” and “Black Lightning,” never got into “Arrow”) are losing me. I commented last week in “The Flash” thread about this. These shows used to be must-see TV but they’re “sadly losing me” TV. They feel so bogged down with superfluous stuff (hallway talks, keeping secrets, love nonsense) and…
All of the people who follow Iris’ blog are conspiracy theorists. It’s the only explanation that makes sense.
Yes I think so (with the purple and yellow speed lightning reveal). So the Mystery Girl mystery now is more WHY she is there.
I thought they made it clear who she was last week.
Am i still the only Amunet fan..I find Katee Sackhoff’s terrible accent and chomping of scenery hilarious. In the episodes She has been in Caitlin has also been far more interesting and actually has something to do.
I just realized we only have two episodes this season left... how on earth does she fit into all this or are they dropping her in for Season Five (which I hope they are to be honest).
The Flash does drag things out too long sometimes & Mystery Girl’s mystery is getting to be one of those things (even though I like her).
I agree with your comment about Katee Sackhoff’s British accent. They missed a golden opportunity there. We should have learned her accent was just an “evil villain pretension” and she was like from Boise or something. Her accent is so over the top and ridiculous it actually would have been a perfect joke. Bad on…
On top of the fact that this (apparently) near-inactive blog picked up a bunch of (apparently) useful comments right off the bat. Maybe SEO is Iris’ superpower.
I was disappointed the Mystery Girl didn’t crash Joe and Caitlin’s coffee date at Jitters. Especially after her fun delivery of her baby shower gift to Cecile and Joe in the previous episode, and her weird interaction with Caitlin & Wells earlier in the season.
Iris somehow requiring Barry’s permission to write a post on her own blog about DeVoe and actively attempting to have him say “Yes, honey, you may have some semblance of agency as a woman write your blog” during the entire episode is a Huge Fucking Problem cherry on top of the Huge Fucking Problem sundae that this…
I love how committed Amunet is to her fake, theatrical British accent, even after Team Flash track her down by discovering her real pre-powers identity as a flight attendent from Central City.
Tom Cavanagh remains my favorite part of this show, but I agree that subtle shades of Harrison would have been better than the caricatures, but I’m willing to give them a bit of a pass since that’s a very Silver Age plot line and I still think that’s the direction this show should be going in.
Sackhoff herself has said in interviews the accent is likely fake.
Get Amunet over onto Legends of Tomorrow where she belongs!
I have mixed feelings about this episode, but Katee Sackhoff as Amunet swaggering into various scenes waving her handbag/ purse, her chemistry with “Caity” (“my dear”), and her badassery with her powers made it very watchable, anyway. I love that she has seemingly replaced Wentworth Miller as Captain Cold as the…
When’s the last time we’ve seen Kara Danvers at all? I feel like she’s only been Supergirl in the last few episodes. She hasn’t really had a reason to go civilian. I keep waiting for Lena to wonder where Kara is.
