There was so little tension for the main plot. Like, instead of actually trying to track down Pestilence, they kept having emotional bedside chats.
After the last Worldkiller-Alex-is-Trigger-Happy debaucle, I appreciate the show was at least willing to have a conversation about things. Like about Supergirl killing, and if there’s a person inside worth trying to save.
At this point I think the best catalogue for CW actors is Supernatural.
So are we all in agreement that Archie is the goddamned worst singer on this show?
I was somewhat upset that DeVoe has been murdering people left and right, and moreso that he is gaslighting his loyal wife. But stealing Killer Frost from Caitlin, that is crossing the line for me. They need to take this guy out
Agreed. I was more upset by Frost’s ‘death’ than Ralph’s death, even though I think that she’ll be back.
Lost in this otherwise great recap/review is that Harry seems to have fried his brain stupid in his mishap. It was sort of a blink-and-you’ll-miss-it moment when Harry was helping Cisco diagnose the powerless Caitlin, but Harry had no clue what was going on. Cisco had to keep telling him to focus. It will be…
It would be a cop-out to bring Ralph back, but I hope they do. I would accept some cockamamy excuse like his elasticity decentralizing his brain functions or something so he was still in there somewhere even as devoe took over.
I agree that Ralph had his pluses and minuses (they gave him too many powers and he complained about actions others took that he was guilty of a lot) , but I thought this episode really delivered and paid off this season long story, The thing I liked, and re-cappers are giving short shrift is Ralph WAS right in the…
From the moment they gave Ralph those transformation powers in the show: something he does NOT have in the books, I knew eventually, somehow, The Thinker would take over Ralphs body like he had others, and transform it to look like his original Devoe body. I was even more certain when Ralph walked into court as Devoe…
Danielle Panabaker is so good that I am more invested in the relationship between “Caity” and Frosty than I am in the one between Barry & Ralph.
I’ve defended this show for years now, and my patience is about at an end with the writers.
I love this show and I loved this finale! That said, the ending felt rushed and possibly re-written. Maybe things went down differently before they got the season 2 pick up? Everything after the escape from the woods felt a bit off. Agree that Lala’s return was wasted (also wasted: Jill Scott as Lady Eve, who died way…
You mad, bro? Heh.
I say this every week because it keeps being true: “Arrow” and the rest need to watch “Black Lightning” and do what it’s doing.
So BL made the pods public knowledge, right? So that means we’ll see more metas (some young, some Rip Van Winkles from the 80s) come next season, I hope.
I think Ralph’s “death” (let’s see how long it sticks) would have hit a lot harder if his personality was anything beyond whatever served best as a foil to Barry in any particular week. Last week his problem was he wasn’t taking anything seriously—this week he wants to go on a solo mission to murder DeVoe? Sure, why…
Ugh i hope they don’t use this to get rid of Killer Frost. THey never seemed to know what to do with her and squandered the opportunity
Vice Principal! It’s that kind of disrespect that turned her to the dark side, man!
