It’s like how you make plans to go to your old home town and it seems like a good idea until you get there and then you just want to leave.

I don’t even remember who Melody is, it has been so long since she had anything to do. I mean, I know she is the third Pussycat, but nothing else about her.
I very much want to know where she’s living. They couldn’t have shown her crashing at Toni’s or Veronica’s or something? Makes no sense. But apparently she’s got her entire wardrobe and makeup kit where she’s staying.
The genius of Cheryl, and I think what Toni gets about her, is that her outwardly being an awful diva is because she is in such horrible inner pain & needs love. So it makes sense that she just went through something awful inflicted on her by the family that should love & protect her but does not, so now she is going…
I really hope that they give Valerie better storylines on this show, so she doesn’t have to go back to her character on Altered Carbon & presumably suffer more horrific abuse.
At the end of the episode, Cheryl looks over at Kevin and goes “hold on, I need to do something” and I thought to myself, ‘is someone finally going to thank Kevin for his help, for once?!’ and then she gets up and says “Kevin I’m putting myself in your musical” and I almost threw my drink at the TV.
To be fair, last season’s Archie lacked characterisation. If this season had been properly executed and consistent, at least Archie would be a character. Perhaps not a good choice, but a character none the less. Veronica’s still not an independent character.
How/why does Cheryl go from “I just survived a hell my mom volunteered me for” to “I want to be in a musical!” Where is she living now? Does the sheriff know what she was subjected to? How is she she looking fresh at school and concerned with a musical?
Poor Melody. I would trade literally every grating musical scene just for her to be an actual character.
Josie goes on the road as solo singer with Kevin as her manager. They go town to town doing gigs and solving crimes as they go. Eventually they track down Valerie in Altered Carbon land and Melody in wherever the hell she ended up and bring the band back together.
I sort of wish Josie would get a Pussycats spin-off so Kevin could escape from his shitty friends.
I loved the detail that 2-Bits hustles so hard that he keeps track of every delivery truck in the city.
I think he’s off with Tobias, getting his spine “fixed” in some (probably nightmarish) fashion.
This episode was great but 2 bitz might be my favorite character. That scene with the microwave had me on the floor. He’s kind of like Turk from Daredevil
I like the CW superhero shows, but haven’t made time for BL yet. Looks like I may have to binge watch this one over the summer, if the good vibes I’m getting from this review and just the show’s look in general are an indication.
This show understands the superhero genre better than any other show out there (except maybe “Supergirl” — MAYBE), and they sure know how to use TV’s episodic format to great effect.
Oh fuck oh fuck oh fuck! My thoughts in no particular order:
Seeing Lala’s cousin Will follow him everywhere he goes, especially as the camera moves from one location to another, it’d be as if he were cloned. LOL
