I’ve noticed that Cosby has always been too concerned with what the actors who played his TV children did in their professional lives.

“There was no knowledge on my part about his specific actions, but … there was just energy. And that type of sinister, shadow energy cannot be concealed,” she told the magazine.

Dang, I knew Lisa would be the only one to tell the truth. She experienced his need to control first hand and is the only person from the cast who doesn’t have to repay all the of those Cosby handouts.
I’m struggling to remember what drew me into this show in the first place.
Got an ugh feeling every time the episode headed back to the “core four”. They’re so boring and treading water — and like this article points out, nonsensical.
Thanks for your input. Hopefully my edit is clearer.
I certainly think the Cheryl-Toni storyline is promising. Toni is smart & formidable enough to appreciate Cheryl & also not get steamrolled by her. (Also the actresses are apparently real-life BFFs).
Chuck is annoying. He isn’t more interesting than many people in Riverdale, let alone Josie.
Im struggling to remember what drew me into this show in the first place. Because this season has been so consistently terrible it feels like how teen dramas used to be before TV got really good.
“I don’t see anything wrong with someone being “just an asexual black character” either. At least SOMEONE on the show would be asexual then.”
So last episode FP sided with his son that they wouldn’t let Hiram pay off the trailer park residents’ debts, but now he’s overjoyed he bought the whole shebang?
For a minute there I thought they were going to give Kevin an actual storyline, like they promised this season, but no. Running around the woods early this season didn’t really count. And did the person who came up with all the great stories for Cheryl leave the writing team for this season? Maybe now they’ll give her…
I’m going to miss Lady Eve. She was my favorite villain in a very long time and Jill Scott played the heck out of that role. I have a small hope that it’s her soul in Lala’s body, but without Jill Scott it won’t be the same anyway.
I would 100% watch The Adventures of Gambi, either as a short-lived spin-off or one-off episode, because he has some serious skillz. Also enjoyed how excited he was to tell Anissa he was working on a costume for her. Guy loves his work!
For a show so focused on community... I can’t help but feel like we could still actually see more of the community. There have definitely been episodes that have explored it, but the more recent episodes are more focused on the main cast and their dilemmas. Something like the confederate statue protest in last week’s…
Finally, the show is back on track, and it comes at the right time considering is the half-point of the season. I think the main problems with superhero shows is that they can’t seem to find a matching villain, one that poses a clear, urgent threat. So they have to stall the showdown either by making the hero dumber…
When Anissa asked if Black Lightning was the reason her parents split, this struck me. Not only because that’s quite the epiphany for any kid (or hero in training) to hear, but also because it makes me think about how much Lynn is around. You wouldn’t think they were divorced at all.
Too late, Anissa learns that with great knowledge comes great responsibility. I thought for sure she was gonna give in to despair and quit being the hero. Guess that’s not the case. No point in turning back.
The hat, scarf, and trench coat Gambi wore has to be a reference to the Shadow.
