Why did the Death Totem manifest Jesse Quick? Everybody dies eventually, but she wasn’t dead to Wally. His mom fits the pattern of dead relative guilt trips better.

Veronica took over The Pussycats, and Hermione is gunning for the vacant mayor position. The McCoys continue to be sidelined. I agree with you LaToya that Robin Givens isn’t used enough on this show (though her character had more to do than her daughter did). She brings it.

This week’s episode was good. I liked Jefferson training Anissa, and how he was so concerned about her safety that he didn’t realize he needed her help until the end. I look forward to see how that develops.

That’s been bugging me too. It’s one thing if they’re on a mission in present time, but they spend most of their downtime outside of the space/time continuum, so I’d think she’d wear something similar to what was casual clothing for her in the 1940s. In one of her earlier appearances she wore something that looked

I too prefer the sidelined characters over the core four. The core four’s storylines have become stale, repetitive, and boring. I was glad to see Kevin and Josie get an iota more screentime than they usually get.

You mean Kevin. I was scratching my head wondering who “Kyle” was.

That woman is LaWanda—I’m 99% sure...

I’m hoping that she’ll get her powers soon because she’s now out of the loop with the rest of the family and their secrets.

I’m glad they showed a realistic aspect of them trying to find careers/their life paths and them struggling. If everything fell into place for the characters at the end of the episode then it wouldn’t have felt realistic, though I wanted Xiomara’s plan to fall into place more (see my last paragraph).

I blame the writers for that, because Candice Patton has shown many times that she can shine when given the right material. At the beginning of the season I thought Iris took on a great leadership role, but now it’s back to the usual status quo with her.

I’m not surprised that the Pierces talking to that one girl’s parents didn’t stop the drama between her and Jennifer. One talking to with the parents doesn’t make the issue go away.

It was fun seeing (hearing) Maisie Richardson-Sellers get to use her British accent as the Pirate Queen Jiwe. And Sara fighting with a flute—don’t mess with her!

They got the Earth Totem before Ray went to save Nora. It looks like they’re keeping it under lock and key. Not sure if Amaya is able to use it as her own. And as for the Spirit Totem, I don’t think Ray will be returning to the Waverider with it anytime soon after what the Darhks did to him at the end of the episode.

This was such a fun bottle episode. I’ve liked the addition of Tala Ashe as Zari, but she really got to put her all in this episode. Great chance to flesh the character out more.

Also I am glad that they have resisted giving her a romantic interest so far on the show.

I just finished watching it. While the shorter episodes make it easy to watch in one sitting, its shortness also means that a lot of plot points get lost. I hate that it ended on a cliffhanger. I haven’t heard anything about there being a second season. A lot of the characters who were rumored to appear in it weren’t

I felt it was a neat choice to have Tobias’s flashback scene shown with him in the present in regular colors and the flashback in black and white. He was literally reliving his past.

Not much Xiomara this episode.

Chris looks better in person than he does in pictures. And speaking of pictures, Alba’s church picture for her dating profile was awful!

Maybe he’ll start recognizing his behavioral patterns next season (and please let us get a next season)?
