As a life-long resident of areas that get a lot of snow, the biggest offenders of all these rules are people with large 4-wheel drive trucks/SUVs. They think they’re invincible, but they end up in the ditch like dumbasses.

The higher mg level in Vicodin is the acetaminophen content. IIRC Vicodin only comes in lower doses of acetaminophen of around 300mg, but the generic can go up to 750. If you look at a prescription of the generic, it’ll say something like 500/5. That’d be 500 mg of acetaminophen and 5 mg of hydrocodone.
