rather than his role in one of the NFL’s biggest embarrassments

Of course the guy attempting to inject politics into this is too dumb to be able to spell coincidence.

At the end of the 2007 season, after the Browns had beaten the 49ers to get a SHOT at the playoffs, Romeo Crennel was asked at a press conference how he would be watching the Colts-Titans game that would determine their fate. Crennel, a man who has known little joy in his life and has more recently had to watch a

My favorite thing about Steve Smith is a gray comment from almost two years ago. Still my favorite thing ever on Deadspin. BasedMS, you may have forgotten about this, but I never will.

I was at AT&T Park for a game two weeks ago, sitting near a talkative family from North Carolina, who ended up in a conversation with some Niners fans about Smith, which I then added to, ruefully remembering his destruction of my Chicago Bears in the playoffs. Without a doubt... “Go home and mow my grass.”

Hands down. I generally don’t get caught up in the personalities of athletes but Steve Smith was so great I couldn’t help it. Great player, total grinder, and a seemingly smart, thoughtful guy. The Panthers were real assholes for letting him go.

The final SNL episode that Hartman and Farley were in as cast mates, had the last shot of them hugging each other and waving goodbye to the camera. Within less than a year of that episode airing, they were both dead. Tragic...

I made so much money doing this I’m now retarded.

His bat did look a little Corky.

“Tell me more.”

Holy shit I'm laughing way harder than I should be at that.

Dude, don’t worry about. Life Goes On.

I take pleasure from a great many things on the internet but I probably only literally laugh out loud once, maybe twice a year at something I see online. This? Watched it twenty times now and it makes me laugh every goddamn time.

“And Pujols has his own very special and not totally different way of getting out.”

At least he admitted his unforced error in the next sentence. Gary Thorne is a national treasure and I hope we never lose him. One time he referred to runners on 1st and 3rd as “the covers are cornered.” It's part of his charm.

I literally giggled loudly. God damnit.
