One of the very best sniper films I've ever seen is Enemy At the Gates, which not coincidentally features a fully fleshed-out villain. It's hard to add complexity to someone who by definition kills at a remove, and if he does his job well, his victims never even know he exists. It's a real accomplishment to humanize

I can't imagine how a 20-year-old who lost a brother 3 months ago and has been living 6000 miles away from his family is having a rough year.

As a former lover of the show, I find myself deeply ambivalent about this.

Because most people watching a clip of open play in that position would assume the keeper was in goal. In this rare circumstance, he was not, which is likely what the assistant referee was so concerned with instead of paying attention to whether the ball was in the attacking half.

Silver may be an innovator, but the NFL already has this. And I have to admit, I do get some pleasure out of seeing the Jaguars compete against pro teams.

That laugh in the Pats/Colts clip might be the best fake laugh I've ever heard.
