It was a long sleepless night, the stuff of nightmares and gruesome feelings. When the vet got her and said she could be fixed up, it was such a relieving feeling that I cried for ten minutes in the examining room, while the poor vet was just trying to get shit done.

I really think that it is so-so. Like, there are really good moments to it where I see a little bit of the fuss, but then all those moments turn out to be unpolished gems in the middle of a big pile of bullshit.

I’d add that my cat is an indoor only cat, and she got out (twice) and it ended very poorly for her and me.

I don’t have insurance for Emily, and it is among the top 2 of stupid shit I’ve ever done.

I ended up walking for miles looking for her in the dark hours of the night, even though I didn’t go that far, I kept coming back and covering the same ground. I read somewhere that cat’s stay close to home when they get out.

I asked the vet what food was best, and she was like, make sure it has enough protein, but the best food is what she wants. I might be able to feed her cheaper than the fancy $30 cat food I have been getting her, if she is on board with the food I am feeding her now.

Her curiosity gets her into trouble, but I don’t know why she wants to leave Mama!
