Many, many moons ago, I had a 1988 Toyota truck with the 22R that I had to voluntarily repo due to bankruptcy from medical bills. When I tearfully waved good-bye, it had 78K miles on the clock and had never had a single problem. That’s not hyperbole. NEVER. ONE. PROBLEM.

Like it had just rolled off the assembly line.

My gf had a ‘02 MR2 Spyder. She totalled it about 1.5 yrs ago. She totalled her replacement ‘15 Civic just before Xmas last year.

Couple of years ago, driving down 180 thru Gila National Forest in December—with decent amounts of snow and treacherous mountain roads—I found myself “stuck” behind a snow plow. Being in a Civic with all-seasons, that truck was my Bestest Friend for the 19 miles that I stalked it.
