And when you inevitably betray him, he usually still lets you keep the Power Cosmic. Pretty sweet severance package!

Cool! Now somebody tell me how to make a Blue Shell I can actually use on the freeway.
Thanks again, all of you! I never got to play any of the sequels, just Pool (I wasn't kidding about the power supply dying, and—geez, this will date me—try finding a Commodore 128 replacement power supply post-Amiga!)
Wow, thanks for the tip! I think I've even seen the diamond edition as a downloadable (on Steam or Impulse or both)!
Bit off-topic here, but I wish someone would remake the SSI "Gold Box" Edition games—I literally played "Pool of Radiance" till my computer's power supply blew out!
Sorry, should have realized that; it's like telling someone not to think of an elephant! Ye Gods, hentai is messed up! People, whatever you do, do not Google "Pinkle"!!
Yikes, was going to post a photo I remembered from EGM featuring a Tingle (from Zelda) cosplayer as an example of the aforementioned cojones—but trust me, you do not wanna Google "Tingle from Zelda" images with Safe Search off! Ho-Lee Hyrule!!!
Q'apla! ;)
I can see where you're coming from, but in my opinion anyone with the guts to cosplay deserves my respect for the sheer cojones factor alone. Never done it myself, too body-conscious. (Still kinda sorry I never dressed up for a Rocky Horror screening, tho—at this late date, it'd have to be Doctor Scott, but I like to…
This has probably all been discussed previously, but... come on, Internets, it's early days!
I vote for Huey, Dewey and Louie. Carl Barks would approve, at least.
Exactly. The movie and the Matheson novel are two of my favorite fictional visions of what an afterlife should be like, never mind if one actually exists. (Two other favorites are Mark Twain's "Excerpt From Captain Stormfield's Trip to Heaven" and H. G. Well's "A Vision of Judgement" - "rational Heaven" doesn't have…
Sir, you are hearted for this comment alone. You nailed it. My fiancee and I are apparently sappy, sentimental suckers, but we both love this movie, too.
Yes, I read the book after watching the movie, too (unusual for me, Matheson is one of my favorite writers). And I have to say I agree with you—I preferred the movie, for pretty much the same reasons you did.
It's only a model...
I saw the movie and read the novel (big Matheson fan), and I'm also glad I'm not the only one who enjoyed it. Emotionally manipulative? Well, duh. But it never pretends not to be. It moved me, which was what it was supposed to do. I don't see the reason for all the hate.
I was gonna say my boyish good looks, but I like yours better.
Wow, I'd never considered that, but you're absolutely right—Jeffrey Hunter would have made a perfect Reed!
Now I've got Floyd's voice in my head going, "Oooh, pointy sideburns! That's... niiiicceee..."
Hearted!
