Um, 'scuse me, we can't even get funding for SETI to channel-surf for Epsilon Eridani's version of One Life To Live, you think the Proxmires of 2061 are gonna spring for this?

I thought It was okay but disappointing; who decided to cast a bunch of sitcom stars as the Losers? (But Tim Curry was great as Pennywise!)
Well, according to Joel Achenbach's Why Things Are, the chemical complexity accounts for why we like coffee (or at least its aroma): it's somewhat similar to the breakdown compounds released when animal proteins are cooked. We like coffee because it reminds our noses of steak.
Ack, correction, the Control Voice was Outer Limits! I plead senility!
Excellent list! The only ones I'd add are Boris Karloff's Thriller and One Step Beyond (c'mon, no love for the Control Voice?).
I don't have an iPhone, iPad, or iNipple (unless that's why they're permanently erect?), but I am grateful for all the work in restoring the site's commenting functionality! Now if someone could tell a n00b why it seems to be possible to "star" yourself from your profile page? Surely this is forbidden!
That would be cool, but then they'd be radiating in the infrared like—well, Dyson spheres.
Yep, didn't read it till after I'd posted. Still, this gives me the opportunity to mention that another tasteless joke I definitely will not stoop to is anything along the lines of: "Tea. Earl Grey. Warmish."
Wouldn't the greater exposure/vulnerability of the reproductive organs in an upright stance pretty much cancel out any strength/reach advantages? I doubt our remote ancestors followed strict Marquis of Queensbury. To be crass, severe nad damage = probably not gonna reproduce.
Hey, why send 'em anywhere, just demat them! All those food synthesizers have to have something to work with!
All these were new to me except for the Weinbaum story, thanks! But I would have been majorly ticked without the shout-out to Doc Savage's cousin Patricia!
Still, Superboy's use of the Zone with Mon-El always bothered me as a kid.
Well, you gotta remember, this is the same series where Hitman puked on Batman after Bats punched him in the stomach. Realistic? Yeah, but something I would've been happier not knowing about. (Ennis found the formula for making a Vertigo title into a regular DCU book: move everything slightly out-of-panel.)
You forgot Dogwelder from Section 8 in Garth Ennis' Hitman. He punished evildoers by welding frickin' dogs to their faces!
Yep, sprang immediately to my mind, too! Well done!
This is exactly the way my own mind works, Sir, and I would just like to say good luck with that. I was just remembering how the name "Veruca Salt" always reminds me of Fairuza Balk, who played Dorothy in Return To Oz, which got me to thinking how all faintly creepy kids' movies could be interrelated, which caused me…
Yes, Nova! (And I am that old!) ;)
Lori Lemaris was a monotreme??
Frequency was originally going to have a much more "scientific" explanation for the radio signals skipping through time: a mini black hole/wormhole. But they couldn't figure out an effective way to represent it visually, so they changed it to the aurora. (Which fits the tone of the story better, to my mind.)
