I would LOVE for someone to ask him to explain all the good jail did for all of the other people he’s sent to prison. I’m sure his response would be fantastic.

I’m so sorry that you went through that.

Many victims are far more concerned about their abusers than the abusers ever were of them.

I think about that, too. I wonder what it would be like to feel that invincible. And to not even consider other people when you act. What must it be like to go through the world feeling like you can just do what you want?

Having any punishment at all... even if it’s only a week in jail would be better than this. They literally told him “don’t do illegal things” and let him walk out.

“who is openly tolerated by his friends and by the justice system”

This makes me ill. His ‘punishment’ is actually nothing. He just shouldn’t do the things that are illegal for him, anyway. There were literally no consequences at all for doing what he did.

I never thought that I’d feel the urge to repeatedly chant U-S-A... and yet here we are.

“They’re just jealous you’re a Ghostbuster and they’re not”

It never failts to amaze me that the people who speak out against the “politically correct whiners” don’t realize that they, themselves, are whining.

That confused me, too. I didn’t think that Gran Torino was racist itself, though racist things were certainly depicted. Ultimately, it condemnded them.

This is so true. People like this always assume that they are in the majority, even when everything points to the contrary.

Because they’re trying to justify their callousness. If caring is feminine, they - as big, bold men - don’t have to feel deficient for not having compassion.

Wait... wasn’t she all about selfishness?

Also, about the dress form. I’ve found that the adjustable ones work well. They sell resonably-priced ones at JoAnn and you can adjust the bust, hips, waist, and waist height. If you’re looking for one that is very small, some companies sell adjustable children’s forms (I know dritz does) that could then be adjusted

OMG that blog name is amazing. Puns and sewing are two of my favorite things.

There are some really good online classes, if you’re into that. Craftsy.com has some that are guided and come with access to an instructor. YouTube also has some good videos, too.

I find the same thing happens for me, too. If you can cut a smaller size, that would be best. Once you find the size that works for you in each company, you can stick with it because they all standardize their sloper.

I used to work at a fabric store (Jo-ann’s) and I’ll admit that I miss it sometimes. I now work in the NYC garment district, though, so it’s a bit of an upgrade. There is an amazing lack of patterns, though, Probably because they cater mostly to designers that make their own patterns.

It never even occurred to me to look for them on instagram. This article was so useful.
