I’m utterly baffled by what he thinks his job is. This is exactly the type of issue that requires intervention by government officials.

Oh god. This guy.
Not that anyone believed him to begin with, but this just goes to show how BS his “old dinosaur” and “I’m just need help” excuses are. He was told long ago that this behavior was not okay and “getting help” didn’t seem to help him.
Presumably it’s because discussing a patient’s details is a violation of the patient and would require Perkins to file a complaint against the therapist... which she could decide not to do.
It’s been a while since I watched American Beauty, but isn’t Lester intended to be unlikable? I never got the sense that the audience is supposed to cheer him on. Isn’t the point of the ending that he finally realized that he’s been a shitty person, a shitty dad, and a shitty husband and that he’s been too…
He’s literally saying rape right in the name of the charge, but somehow he manages to convince himself that it’s not rape. The mental hoops these men will jump through...
Exactly. I don’t know what is unclear about any of this. She asked to go home. She faked having a medical issue to get away from him. This would be rape if she had been 25, which she wasn’t.
Agreed. Ban it. There are just too many stories like this.
This shit makes me IRATE.
How can these people sleep at night?
Those comments were made without having any knowledge I would ever be here.
I think we would try not to work with a lot of those photographers if we heard problems
I’m not a litigious person, but companies absolutely should be sued in cases like this. Not only are they clearly neglecting a problem and putting their customers at risk, they’re actively discouraging you from reporting it to the authorities by telling you that they will on your behalf. This is insanely unacceptable.
If they had responded to her directly and asked “who do you think you are?” I would tend to agree.
The ROI here is just exposure to her followers, which she mentioned and gave the subscriber counts for. She also mentioned a previous deal that she had.
Agreed. I think it’s hypocritical of them to make fun of her for offering services in exchange for exposure, when they’re using her... for free exposure.
It seems like the White Moose was a bit harsh here.
I’m so, so happy that the justice system protected that girl when her parents wouldn’t. Those 10 years that he was in jail gave her enough time to become an adult, get some sense of right and wrong, and become capable of cutting ties with these people.
This makes sense. Thanks for the reply!
