They make printers that can print borderless on standard paper sizes (I just got one). Saves lots of time and the pieces line up a lot better. You can also buy different types of paper that are more pattern-like than standard printer sheets. I think you should give it a go :-)

There are lots of things to sew besides actual clothes. You could start with some PJs or things around the house. Maybe your dog needs a new dog bed or you need some new curtains? If you’re an outdoorsy type, you can sew tents and foldable chairs and stuff.
