It’s way worse to walk in the heat than bike. You get there in a fraction of the time, with a breeze most of the way. I bike daily, we have a severe heat warning here now, but I’ve barely broken a sweat in my 30 min commute.  Uphill 5 of those 30 too.

Yeah I don’t think you need an ID at all times in NYC, not 100% sure if it’s a state that requires you to provide ID on request if stopped.

Talking about carrying ID, not a license.  If a cop stops you for something in some states you’re obligated to provide ID, so if you’re biking and he thinks you ran a stop sign or something, you’d need to be carrying ID
