Why can’t All Stars ever just... work? Roxxxy single handedly made it to the final because of Rolaskatox, Shangela and the audience getting robbed of battling it out, now two fucking (though wholly deserving) queens crowned.

With regards to the idea that there “were always going to be two”: in past finales, when there’s been a tight race, they’ve filmed double crownings and had them ready to go. Nah. No one deserves grief over a tv show, especially considering how toxic the fan base can be toward queens of color. Naomi slayed that lip sync and she chose her choice. It’s a game show and she won this round fairly. 

I’m hopeful that last week and tonight are the turnover in that arc. Prior to her elimination, I’d be in full agreement - only to reframe Latrice’s arc as one of complacency, at its worst.

I just think the critique just didn’t complete the thought. For me, the beakers and dry ice gave me more Mad Scientist Laboratory; in execution, the Black Hole felt like someone without Deep Nerd bona fides trying to project a bunch of mish-mashed sci-fi ideas, without specificity, from a place of unawareness instead…

On the contrary, I found Valentina’s talking heads hilarious. She definitely commits to her character. I was surprised she went home this early but pleasantly so, based on her performance.

So, Manila’s menstrual pad gown was in bad taste but Trinity’s Buffalo Bill style old lady suit (complete with sagging breasts) was fine? 

Quite the contrary - I see Valentina as being 210% self-aware. Just not in a way that actually resembles how other people see her.

Valentina may indeed lack self-awareness in person, but she’s definitely giving an exaggerated version of herself in All Stars. I may be in the minority, but I think it’s hilarious and I’m living.

Those last few minutes were a whirlwind. I do think bringing the queens back would work better if the early outs weren’t so clearly suited for early elimination (we Don’t really have an Alyssa Edwards sitch this year) but I’m still hyped.

An easy way to solve this is to let Ru actually select who gets eliminated instead of having the contestants do it.  I know I say this almost every week, but I hate how they do this on all stars.  It’s to create the drama,  but I want to see drama from the challenges and runway not for the backstage begging to be…
