THAT’S the way to come back for All-Stars. Just show up as a guest star, give some witty talking head, then go back to your hotel and get a pedicure.

It’s catnip to the Category B Drag Race viewer. You see, there are two groups of RPDR fans, which often confuses people into thinking the fanbase is flip-flopping and doesn’t know what it wants.
I agree. There was no way she was going to get her performance chops up to the level of the other queens. This way she got to show off some good lewks and display some maturity/likability in her interactions with Gia. This was the bgest case scenario for her
I’m torn on whether I think Gia’s villainy makes for Great TV or not. It is entertaining on some level and perhaps needed as a corrective to years of “Best Friends Race” but it’s so obviously contrived I find it hard to get into at times
I had to watch every second just because of my love for Stacey Layne Matthews, henny.
This was the first episode in a while where it didn’t just feel successful, it felt stable. Highlights of recent seasons (both AS and regs) can often come off like they’re balancing on wire-thin ropes lest the whole thing come crashing down while this felt logical, well-edited and unpredictable. And the challenge was…
Well, this is already substantially more enjoyable than AS3. Manila ending up low with that runway look is a goddamn crime, though, gotta say. And most importantly, good LORD is self-aware confident Valentina growing on me like a goddamn fungus. Talk about delivering on your promise... this is the perfect kinda thing…
This is honestly the best way Farrah could’ve left IMO: Clearly she wasn’t rising to everyone’s level so leaving early keeps her from feeling like this season’s Roxxy/Chi Chi and shutting Gia DOWN so effectively in the calmest way will earn her points from everyone.
Can we say Ben Dela Creme; combining both comedy and burlesque?
I can’t help but sense that’s been a recurring theme for villainesses that’ve gone back into the All Stars grinder. Certainly for Phi Phi, and maybe to a lesser extent, Thorgy, Morgan, Mimi, Shannel, Tati, and Shangela depending on your response to them.
True, but one’s also gotten the sense that since Alaska straight-up steamrolled AS2 - Twists! seem so engineered into the DNA of the All Stars format, it’s hard not to envision Producer Fuckery hard at work for later episodes.
I was really hoping they were going to change up the decision making and judging. I want RuPaul to take ownership of the booting off and I want to see LSFYLs.
A lot of us do, dear.
Farrah is, unfortunately, just not confident in her reveals.
And I love how much Valentina is owning her history. Earned a bunch of points in my book, to say the least.
The bones of Farrah’s burlesque number seemed like there could be something there, at least at first. Her faceplant aside, going back to watch it (thanks, immediate reruns), it seems to me like a lot of her reveals and wardrobe peels are just a bit tentative, just a bit less confident than I would expect at an All…
Welcome back, henny - for a few new Random ‘pinions:
Was really underwhelmed with Monique, and Monet saved herself thanks to Farrah’s screw up and Jasmine bombing.
Farrah’s burlesque act was already not good and the fall didn’t help. A performer knows how to come back form a gaffe and she did not. She’s just lucky that Jasmine completely bombed.
Got to see Latrice do an extended version of her flag routine (including a color guard rifle at one point!) live a couple of weeks back - every time I see her do just about anything, her position as my all-time favorite of the RPDR gang is further solidified. She’s just so goddamn genuine, and every second she’s on…
