Or a season one vaseline lens.

Gaga's commentary was so interesting!

Yeah, the commercial breaks and live segments really threw things off for me. I'm used to watching the day after, streaming (thanks VH1!), so I figured I just wasn't used to it, but the timing just felt off.

Gaga was one of those celebrity judges who clearly loves drag and knows their shit, which one would expect of her, but is still great to see. I hope that continues this season. I don't care if Jessica Alba picked her baby wipe scent!

My early favorites are Sasha Velour and Nina Bo'Nina Brown, because I am a sucker for a weird, arty queen, but otherwise nobody is really standing out for me yet.

It reminded me of the Ruflections with Katya videos she put out during season 7. I think I love Katya best when she's making fun of high-art surrealism.

It did come across as an extremely weird moment. I'm actually not surprised Coco had had some health issues, I thought she looked very thin and kind of fragile on AS2, but the reunion overall just didn't seem primed for that (or any really) kind of high-drama.

The interesting thing about Jinx vs. Alaska is that Alaska seemed to steadily improve over the course of the season, but Jinx, while consistently a great performer, had ups and downs the whole way through with her looks. Jinx's Sugar Ball was pretty dire, but there she was in a terrible candy cane reindeer dress

Yes! And I love watching the process of talented queens work. I miss it when we don't see a lot of the workroom.

Roxxxy's dress was shockingly unflattering! She's usually so on-point.

Like PhiPhi's unfortunate exit Alaska's breakdown seemed hard to edit around.

A lot of those challenges were inspired by ANTM and we all know Tyra Banks is a monster who devours the souls of hopeful 23-year olds, so…

Katya in the fine art world would be exciting to see!

Like I said after the stand-up episode—Alaska is the meta drag queen. It's kind of exhilarating to watch her think her way through Drag Race.

Why do you want to hurt us, Lucian?

You know how sometimes you hear about how great something is and then when you actually see it it's a bit of a let down? My reaction to Violet's look was the opposite of that. It was so completely incredible.

Lenin the streets, Dostoevsky in the sheets.

I really hope it doesn't. Alaska has been so consistently excellent, to loose because of a that kind of emotional moment would be rough and honestly, I think unfair.

Katya and her mom may have looked completely different, but the narrative was rock solid. Just like Katya's Hello Communist Kitty of her season.

I thought Detox and her sister looked absolutely stunning together. Really beautiful and weird and elegant. That being said, there was something not quite working with the front of the dress…
