I hate that the circumstances of life and television so often result in my not getting to see Drag Race until the morning or sometimes even the day after it airs, but this week it's especially distressing. I want to go to the Book Ball!!!

Well, okay, I suppose technically my legs do go up to my asshole, but I'm short so it doesn't look like it!!
Derrick and Bob were playing absurdly over-the-top characters, but they did play against what we know about them as queens. Bob has used drag to satirize racism and we've just learned on the show that he's politically active, so she's in a hoodie (the ultimate stereotypical "thug" accessory) and creeps around like…
That "perth-onality" exchange was amazing.
The problem is that a big part of the challenge was to play off their partners. Thorgy's ad was funny, but it could have been any other queen as her opponent and the ad wouldn't have been any different. The others were much better at playing off of each other.
Naomi has been a delight this season. Pre-season, I was fully expecting her to fill the role of fishy bitch who relied on that body, but she's turned out to be a sweetheart who tries her best and wants to learn. And just happens to have legs up to her asshole.
You're so right. Kim doesn't really have a basic Kim Chi face that she can build looks around. It's like she starts with the stunning face and builds from there.
Well, it was the reading challenge so maybe they wanted someone associated with reading things? But it was even more random than random Moby last season, except more so because you have to expect random Moby occasionally.
A show which has featured appearances from Derrick Barry, Shangela, and, I believe, Coco.
I think Jujubee's reads are the gold standard for the library challenge. "…I see leg and dairy."
I don't know why, but of all of the queens this season I would have least expected Robbie to fall victim to the desperation wig flip. We're living in a post-Milan world, KEEP THE WIG ON.
I haven't gotten to see Untucked yet, but that's been my impression of Michelle from "Whatcha Packin" and Ru's podcast. When she's not a JUDGE she's really supportive and kind of motherly.
I completely agree with you that anyone coming on Drag Race should know how to sew. I just meant that making your own clothes isn't automatically a way to save money. It definitely can be if you're smart about it and skilled, but you still have to start with cheap materials and more often than not a cheap dress is…
I haven't seen much talk about them this season, but I think the Pit Crew was really well-utilized this episode. The "costume changes" as the back-up bands were hilarious and I only wish they'd been given, I don't know, dog collars or bloody noses for Les Chicken Wings performance.
It's counterintuitive, but unless you have a good fabric hook-up it can be far more expensive these days to sew from scratch. Sewing skills can help a cheap garment look expensive though so you're right, they should all learn to sew.
To quote myself up-thread, we've seen lots of girls do the leotard and accessories thing. Chi Chi's look may have been lacking next to the other girls this season, but in a different context it would be perfectly fine.
I honestly thought Chi Chi's runway look was pretty good and her personality more than made up for its relative simplicity. We've seen lots of girls do the leotard and accessories thing. Especially in this season, when so many girls are bringing over the top, theatrical looks, she's entirely justified in feeling her…
WTF Lorde, indeed.
I can believe the double elimination was planned from the start, especially if they're bringing in a new queen next week, but I sort of doubt Dax and Laila were in on it. Which is unfortunate for them, but not everyone can do a Willam.
What? Totally random Moby was a highlight from last season!
