Strong up-vote for "Nixon debating Kennedy realness."

Tbh, I wish they'd carried that joke through every season.

I think it was calculated AND genuine. Bianca knew exactly what she was doing, she's smart as fuck, but she also seems very well-liked by the rest of the queens.

Thorgy's Frida Kahlo realness was sort of brilliant.

Maybe that's why Violet goes without padding?

Bianca was using bitchiness as a force for good.

Bob the Drag Queen and Kim Chi are my early favorites, but I hope Naomi Smalls stays around for awhile because her legs have to be some sort of medical miracle.

I've never actually watched a full episode of Lip Sync Battle, so I probably shouldn't comment on it at all, but something about it reminds me of when frat boys wear dresses on Halloween.

Agreed. One of the greatest strengths of the show is watching the interplay between artifice and genuine emotion. The crowning should reflect that.

After a long night of hooking…

Aww. When you describe it as a Crystallized Glamazon Chicken-Horse that makes it sounds awesome. But it wasn't awesome. :-(

Violet's performance was a real highlight! Her drag meets burlesque is amazing.

Who would have thought a vodka company would be so uptight? Relax and have a drink, Absolut. Fuck.

I suspected a fake-out immediately, but they held out the moment just long enough that I started to wonder if they were actually going to do it.

Ginger's greatest performance was convincing the world she was a bitter, legitimately old queen.

I think this is the one season I am really, really curious about the backstage gossip. Not just the deal with Max, but the whole season.

Bianca is the absolute master of being mean without malice. She's like a superhero, using the power of her insults for good. With great power comes great responsibility.

I have not gotten to see this episode yet, but I wanted to say I really agree re: the talent of the queens. It feels like it took so long to get a real sense of their personalities and strengths. I've also felt that there's a real disconnect between what the judges seem to be seeing and how the viewers are reacting.

Completely agree with this. Katya is wonderful, but I felt better about her elimination (and Kennedy staying to be honest) after seeing Untucked.

See, I'd actually say Adore's edit was a good example of "real fake." I believe Adore really is a young queen with a tons of natural talent and charisma, who needs some time to learn disciple and polish to reach her full potential. Do I believe that she really completed that transition during the run of the show? Not
