I think you’re thinking of Esmond Romilly, Decca’S first husband. Decca wrote about her brother supporting British fascism. He ended up fighting in the Pacific because he refused to fight other white men in Europe.

The funny thing is, from the interview I read, he blames his messed up childhood on the British government, not his parents for supporting the enemy during wartime. Max definitely inherited Diana’s entitled, nothing is ever our fault, attitude.

I read an interview with him several years ago. He seems like a thoroughly unpleasant person, just like his mother.

Diana was a terrible person. According to some of her sisters, right from childhood. But her death wasn’t pretty awful. She died of heatstroke in her Paris apartment during a sweltering summer and she wasn’t found for days.

Well, yes, but I wasn’t referring to her personal life and flair for making all of her sisters (except Decca who didn’t give a shit) feel like terrible people if they didn’t fall in line behind her and Oswald Mosley.

I’m burning with jealousy. Decca was by far the best Mitford sister.

Diana was gorgeous but seemed like a dramatic PITA. Also, she was entitled as all get out and seems to have passed that trait down to her children. Max Mosley skeeves me out.

If Rob were also sympathetic to Hitler.

Can we all agree that Decca was the best? I love reading about all the Mitfords but Decca was, by far, the most interesting to me. I just read a biography of Esmond Romilly, her husband and Churchill’s “red nephew” and I came away thinking how much I wish I could have been invited to a dinner party at their house.

Tristan was a prepubescent Logan. Both of them were terrible (imho).

They were! She was from Brooklyn and he was from Staten Island. So that’s a completely fair picture

No. Paul’s a traitor who cheated on his wife with a Kewpie doll. No. Never. No matter how good his bread is.

The argument on the way to the rehearsal dinner was priceless. Sabrina was trying to give directions to one of their friends (because it was being held in “her” neighborhood) and Charlie was just being such a passive aggressive asshole to her. Sabrina looked at him and, in an insanely calm voice, just goes “Charlie,

I believe the line was “I will gut you, like the pig that you are.” My husband and I still quote this line all the time.

The worst part is acting like it’s the first time you’ve heard the question that you were asked 5 seconds before. I end up walking away and pretending like I can’t hear her. Lots of love to your mom and you, I know it’s hard watching someone else struggle as a caregiver.

I’m glad Robyn isn’t a Housewife. The season where everyone was crazy, Caroline, Jacqueline, Teresa, Melissa, wore me out. I took a break after that. Siggy seems to me like the only person acting like an adult. She’s rationally trying to explain where everyone is coming from and keeps getting met with nonsense in

They were all awful last night. Jacqueline was crazy, Robyn was a psycho and Melissa and Teresa were living out some alternate reality. The only ones I didn’t want to stuff in a snow bank were Dolores and Siggy.

Have you ever read his suicide note? It makes me think he wasn’t really acting in Rebecca or All about Eve and was just playing himself.

Yeah. I try to tell myself it’s not really her. The worst is when she gets one of her near constant UTIs. That’s like what I imagine living with Satan is like.

I go back and forth whether looping or aggression is the worst part of dementia. The aggression is awful but it comes and goes. The looping is never fucking ending.
