That article cites smothering as the driving force behind infant deaths in BFHI hospitals. I don’t doubt this, but we just had a baby at a baby friendly hospital and not once in any pre-birth class we took or from any doctor or nurse were we encouraged to co-sleep. In fact, it was quite the opposite. They constantly…
I’d bet a lot that bus has a security camera that caught everything.
No. It won’t even come close to holding up as self-defence. Are you serious?
Do you buy a chair every month? If you keep a $200 chair for 2 years it’s effectively ~$8 a month.

I have a feeling this headline should read
Depending on the specific facts, probably. They’ve upheld the right for Westboro Baptist church to protest funerals, too. The courts are loath to put any restrictions on speech

I can’t. For a woman to change her last name after marriage is a pretty simple forum, but I think coming up with a new name and having both change it is way more bureaucracy. It was going to be a lot more work for my wife change/add her maiden name as a middle name compared to simply changing only her last name.
Oh is it Friday already?
“Maybe the Texans, [R*******], or Patriots would be interested in him at wide receiver.”
What about children adopted by lesbian couples?
I’m not saying it should, just that it’s not so simple to come up with a better system
So, they’ll be old enough to make their own decisions like the people in the study the author seems to have a problem with?
My wife did end up taking my last name so this isn’t something we’ll have to deal with, but she does want to use her maiden name as a middle name for a child
But if you have 4 names to choose from which do you choose? Seems like a way to cause a lot of family drama. Not saying the way we do it now is the best or even a good way, but the alternatives don’t seem that much better.
Coming from academia I know many people who wouldn’t want to change their surnames because they’ve published articles under that name. So higher education correlating with not wanting to change names isn’t surprising.
I’ll have to go look that up, but in the past few years I’ve had an awakening to face shape for things like glasses and haircuts
I did not, but I do have eyes.
Whoever told LBJ that those glass work for him should be fired. They don’t compliment his face shape at all.
