I think this is a fair assessment, but for a grocery store beer, I’d take it. If I had to choose between Fat Tire and Sam Adams, I’d pick the cheaper one and not feel bad either way.

I’m still undecided on grilled corn on the cob. I like the smokiness and char, but I’ve never been able to figure out how to keep the crispness of plain old boiled corn on the cob. It always ends up a little chewy. Maybe I just need to pull it off the grill sooner.

This is correct (minus referring to the silks as “tassels”... that’s a different part of the corn plant [the “male” part, whereas the silks are the “female” part]). The key is to remove as many as possible from the top down. Then spin - don’t stroke - and pluck the few remaining silks.

Kind of felt like part of the call was the cumulative effect of so many other (often pretty bad) penalties, too. But to me (who is definitely a soccer football expert and totally not a guy who sits in front of a computer for a living), the challenge was pretty reckless. Glad I’m not the one who has to make those calls.
