I’ve been fuming over the reporting of this case here as well, mainly for the uninformed bashing of the Court and Judge. It’s really frustrating. There are over 400 docket entries in this action—it’s a pretty complicated litigation yet these authors and the comentatriat continue to lambaste the court without having

Jez really needs some legal advisors. The generalizations and misinterpretations for the sake of drama/outrage generation tend to undermine their arguments. I mean, the court isn’t exactly dry-washing its hands with evil glee while they kick back a few with Dr. Luke and Sony’s legal team and drown kittens in a sack.

it’s not even a question of like or dislike, at this point the judge has only been confronted with a shit storm of allegations. A factual conclusion can’t really be made so early in the proceedings.

It’s about the interpretation and application of existing law. If you don’t like it, talk to your state representatives. But let’s stop with the bashing of the Judge and Court. Her ruling was not wrong.

The Court is NOT on Dr. Luke’s “side.” The Judge merely applied the law to the facts. As an attorney one of the hardest things to deal with are bad facts. They are what they are and we do our best to construe them most favorably to our clients but ultimately Judges have no discretion to choose a “side” they like. It’s

I’m never been a huge T Swift fan, but GTFOH Demi Lovato. There is more than one way to show your support to someone. $250K is a sizable amount of money and right now it might be much needed since K$sha can’t do her job because of this. Plus, I think its classier to just send a check without making a big deal about it

Yes. It’s a strip about video game/nerd humor, and that’s why I read it. I don’t go to Olive Garden for chimichangas, and I don't read PA for magical fairy guardian teddy bear nonsense.

Don't get used to it. Sure, there will be some good strips, but the moment anything gets good, they'll inject a week of mystical forest fairy tales or some bullshit.

Oh thats why she admitted she was lying and her claims never happened? You ladies have to stop making yourselves look bad

Here’s a hot take Keisha admitting all her accusations never happened under oath.

Except they don’t. They condone contracts. There is no rape to be found here. The man was not convicted and the judge ruled that there is not enough evidence. End of. Innocent until proven guilty and burden of fucking proof.

What’s your solution? She and her attorneys signed a record contract. Now, she says she was raped 10 yrs ago, never went to the police, and has no evidence? He should be convicted and the contract void? That’s sheer lunacy.

Kind of like this, seeing fellow jezzies attack one another for wrong think/opinion. Watching jezzies cannibalize each other with ruthless intent. Your name has a sort flair if not irony to this situation and this person as you berate and belittle her. Yep I think I will just sit back and enjoy show.

You can say that “racism is prejudice + power” as much as you want, but “racism” is an actual English word with a defined meaning. A meaning that I googled.

There this:

Normally I love everything Madeleine does, but I think it would be good for someone with a little more legal knowledge to write these kinds of posts. This is a completely fucked situation for Kesha, but this post is completely missing the facts of the situation.

Wait a second.....has Dr. Luke actually been charged and convicted of rape? If not, don’t take the claims of Kesha as “fact”, but a mere “claim.” To throw around the word rapist is very dangerous especially if you have no proof but a claim.

She admitted in court that her accusation was false and that he didn’t rape her at all. Just a tiny detail that is weirdly omitted from this article.

I don’t like hearing stories about trans gamers, and not because i’m bigoted, but because the stories are always so sad. People suck man. I don’t know how you can treat another human being like that regardless of how you feel about their life.
