College teacher who’s worked in HR here. Lots of good advice on this thread. I’ll add 2 more points:

I teach at a 4 year college, and tech school can be a really great option for some people. I hope it loses its "low class" reputation because you can make a great living, and there will be tons of jobs there soon. It can be hard work and can take a toll on your body, but the job security is pretty solid.

It'd be great if vasectomies were 100% reliable. It's been 7 months and my partner STILL is getting positive sperm tests. If he still is after 12 months, they have to redo it and he doesn't think he can go through it again 😭
